Gary Judge's Hillwalk for Hillhouse Care

Gary Judge (pictured below) climbed
in a 24 hour period, the three peaks of,
Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike!

He and his sponsors raised £243.00

Asking Gary beforehand about his ambitious attempt, he modestly said........

"I knew I wanted to raise money for a local charity but couldn't find one that I had a particular connection with.

That was until I stumbled across Hillhouse Care. My partner and I had our first child less than a year ago and we are in the fortunate position of being able to provide for and support our daughter and have a great network of family and friends who can help us out.

With so much support our daughter has everything she could possibly need. But I appreciate that this is not the case for everyone.

There are mothers out there who can't provide food or clothes for their babies and that's where I hope to help. In some circumstances I understand that the mother may have her own problems but that is not the child's fault and they deserve to have the best start possible in life.

So regardless of how much I raise I am sure that I can help even just a few babies in the local community"

We are very pleased to have such a dedicated supporter and we are grateful to Gary and his sponsors for raising the money which will go towards new starter packs (nappies, sterilisers, bedding, clothing etc.)
